CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Cardinals have named tight ends Leonard Pope and Ben Patrick inactive against the Panthers, leaving Jerame Tuman as the only healthy player at the position.
Pope and Patrick remain slowed by injuries even after having a bye to recover. The Cardinals might need to get creative in their pass protections as they try to help their tackles. Arizona used two tight ends on more than 25 percent of its offensive snaps against Dallas in Week 6. The team has favored four receivers at other times this season.
Receiver Anquan Boldin is active for the Cardinals, as expected. Look for him to play for the first time since suffering facial injuries during a Week 4 game against the Jets.
