Rewind: Colin Kaepernick made a statement in his 11th NFL start. He showed the Green Bay Packers he can dominate them with his arm as much as his legs. In January, Kaepernick led the 49ers to a win over Green Bay with a record 181 rushing yards. It was the pregame story last week. What did Kaepernick do? He threw for a career-high 412 yards. Kaepernick was near perfect as he shredded the Packers in the air.

Fast-forward: Kaepernick will have a difficult time throwing for 412 yards Sunday night in Seattle. The Seahawks have a ferocious pass rush and a terrific secondary. Kaepernick was 19-of-36 for 243 yards in a blowout loss at Seattle last season in Week 16. He will be challenged, but Kaepernick is also playing at a high level.

Boldin and Davis show again? Kaepernick completed 27 passes against the Packers. Anquan Boldin caught 13, and Vernon Davis caught six. The Seahawks will focus on stopping those options. Kaepernick needs to get No. 2 receiver Kyle Williams and backup receivers Marlon Moore and Quinton Patton involved in case Boldin and Davis can’t break free.

Prediction: Kaepernick will go 22-of-34 for 279 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He will run for 63 yards on 10 carries.
