Wilson

The sight of Adrian Wilson coming free off the edge as a blitzer is one Bills quarterback Trent Edwards might want to forget, if only he could remember it happening.

No matter what one thinks of Wilson's tactics -- the league fined him $25,000 for knocking out Edwards earlier this month -- there's no denying his impact. John Clayton ranked Wilson fifth on his list of the 10 most feared players in the league.

Wilson projects strength and confidence even when he speaks. I was among a few reporters asking him about intimidation after the Cardinals' victory over Dallas. The thinking was that the Cardinals had not been intimidated.

I asked Wilson if it would be possible for someone in the NFL to intimidate him. He gave a short answer that left no doubt. I can't even remember his exact words, but the way he said it, without a hint of doubt or false bravado, just radiated maximum confidence. There was no need for a followup.

I'd like to put together a list of the most feared players in franchise history for NFC West teams. Ronnie Lott comes to mind on the 49ers, Kenny Easley on the Seahawks, etc. Can we come up with a top five for each team?
