Just call this my 2014 Seattle Seahawks roster 1.0, the first version of a 53-man list for the team (along with a few practice squad entries) that will change several times between now and the end of training camp.

A few guys will suffer injuries that will allow a couple of players to make the roster who wouldn't have made it otherwise, but here's my roster of 53 if I had to pick the team today:

Quarterbacks (3): Russell Wilson, Tarvaris Jackson, Terrelle Pryor. I’ll list rookie Keith Price on the practice squad.

Running backs (3): Marshawn Lynch, Christine Michael, Robert Turbin.

Fullbacks (2): Derrick Coleman, Kiero Small.

Tight ends (3): Zach Miller, Luke Willson, Anthony McCoy. Rookie Rashaun Allen, who signed after a tryout in rookie camp, earns a spot on the practice squad.

Wide receivers (6): Doug Baldwin, Percy Harvin, Jermaine Kearse, Paul Richardson, Kevin Norwood, Sidney Rice. This one is tough to call. Twelve guys vying for these spots. Former CFL player Chris Matthews could slip in here.

Offensive linemen (9): Russell Okung, Max Unger, James Carpenter, J.R. Sweezy, Michael Bowie, Justin Britt, Lemuel Jeanpierre, Alvin Bailey, Greg Van Roten. Rookies Garry Gilliam and Garrett Scott to the practice squad.

Defensive ends (5): Michael Bennett, Cliff Avril, Greg Scruggs, Benson Mayowa, Cassius Marsh. Rookie Jackson Jeffcoat on the practice squad.

Defensive tackles (4): Brandon Mebane, Tony McDaniel, Jesse Williams, Jordan Hill. Rookie Jimmy Staten to the practice squad.

Linebackers (7): Bobby Wagner, Malcolm Smith, K.J. Wright, Bruce Irvin, Heath Farwell, Korey Toomer, Kevin Pierre-Louis.

Cornerbacks (4): Richard Sherman, Byron Maxwell, Jeremy Lane, Tharold Simon. Rookie Eric Pinkins to the practice squad.

Safeties (4): Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Jeron Johnson, DeShawn Shead (who also can play corner).

Kicker: Steven Hauschka.

Punter: Jon Ryan

Long-snapper: Clint Gresham.
