Todd Gurley sits out Rams' Wednesday practice

The St. Louis Rams held their first practice in Napa Valley, California, with running back Todd Gurley watching from the sideline.

Gurley was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice because of a foot injury, presumably one suffered late in Sunday's 23-17 win against the Seattle Seahawks. Gurley was seen limping late in that game.

Elsewhere, the Rams have three players still working their way through the NFL's concussion protocol. Linebacker Mark Barron, defensive tackle Nick Fairley and defensive end Ethan Westbrooks suffered concussions in last week's win. None of the three players returned to the game after suffering a blow to the head, and all three were immediately put in the league's concussion protocol.

Of the three, only Westbrooks was able to participate in a limited portion of Wednesday's practice; Fairley and Barron did not practice. All three still have steps to go to be cleared to play.

Here's Wednesday's entire injury report:

Did not participate: RB Todd Gurley (foot), DT Doug Worthington (thigh), DT Nick Fairley (concussion), LB Mark Barron (concussion).

Limited participation: DE Ethan Westbrooks (concussion), CB Eric Patterson (ankle), DT Michael Brockers (thigh), OL Andrew Donnal (knee).
