Fox analyst and former Cowboys and Dolphins coach Jimmy Johnson had this to say about the Cardinals during a Wednesday conference call with reporters:
"I was the guy that when they were 1-2 stuck a fork in them. The reason early in the season I thought they were going to struggle is that Ken (Whisenhunt) had changed his defensive coordinator, lost his offensive coordinator, had a quarterback that was up there in years and had (Anquan) Boldin, who was not only not 100 percent healthy but had some contract issues, so I saw some black clouds in the sky."
Johnson actually stuck that fork in the Cardinals after one game, not three. Arizona won 10 of its next 14 games on its way to another division title.
