Holmgren: Wilson hit was a close call

Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren was noncommittal when asked whether Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson violated rules with his hit on Seattle's Matt Hasselbeck.

To paraphrase Holmgren at his news conference Monday: Rules say players can't hit quarterbacks in the head. Depending on who was evaluating the video, the hit was a "very close play that way." That suggests Holmgren did not see this as a blatant violation.

Also, Holmgren said Hasselbeck did not suffer a concussion during the game. Guard Mike Wahle did not tear a labrum in his shoulder, but he'll miss a couple days, at least. Cornerback Marcus Trufant started "clearing up" quickly after suffering a concussion.
