Frank Hughes of the Tacoma News Tribune says Matt Hasselbeck is apologizing to the Cardinals for suggesting Adrian Wilson should be fined for hitting him. Hasselbeck isn't pushing for a fine and he regrets what he said Sunday night. This didn't seem to be a case of Hasselbeck's emotions getting the best of him after a tough defeat. He just seemed out of it. Coach Mike Holmgren said Hasselbeck did not suffer a concussion, but the quarterback did become ill after the game, so he was probably more drained than usual.

Matt Maiocco of the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat says the 49ers were back to work Monday instead of celebrating a Victory Monday. Coach Mike Singletary wanted players to be around one another a day after winning.

Bill Coats of Around the Horns says the Rams have already ruled out Steven Jackson for their next game. This thigh bruise is a lot worse than the Rams thought in the beginning.

Darren Urban of azcardinals.com says Hasselbeck might deserve some leeway for his postgame comments given how out-of-it the quarterback seemed following the game.
