The NFL provided a list Monday showing the 25 highest earners since 2002 in its performance-pay program.

Three of the top 16 will line up for the Cardinals in 2010.

Recently signed guard Rex Hadnot ranks 10th with $733,893 in additional pay. Center Lyle Sendlein ranks 13th with $727,804. Recently acquired safety Kerry Rhodes ranks 16th with $716,006.

The program, established in 2002 and disappearing along with the salary cap in 2010, rewards players who most dramatically outperform their contracts.

As the league explains, "To produce the index, a player’s regular-season playtime (total plays on offense, defense and special teams) is divided by his adjusted regular-season compensation (full season salary, prorated portion of signing bonus, earned incentives). Each player's index is then compared to those of the other players on his team to determine the amount of his pay."

Four NFC West players made the top 25 list for earners based on 2009 performance. The 49ers' Josh Morgan was sixth at $325,421. The Seahawks' David Hawthorne was 10th at $306,091. The 49ers' Dashon Goldson was 11th at $303,763. Sendlein was 16th at $280,680.
