Stan Kroenke's bid to buy full ownership of the Rams will probably require some sort of juggling for Kroenke to comply with NFL rules on cross-ownership.
The assumption had been that Kroenke might try to sell his NBA and NHL holdings to family members.
Daniel Kaplan of Sports Business Journal says it might be the other way around. Kaplan's story, hidden behind a pay wall, includes this passage: "Stan Kroenke asked the NFL last week to allow his wife to own the St. Louis Rams, sources said, as a way to address the complications that have developed from his decision last month to trigger an option to buy the club."
The bottom line might be the same for Rams fans. Kroenke would presumably be overseeing the team.
