As Seattle Seahawks fans pointed out regularly, Fox assigned veteran announcer Dick Stockton to work four consecutive and six of eight Seattle games during one stretch of the 2009 season.
It's only fitting, then, for Fox to hire former Seahawks coach Jim Mora and then pair him with Stockton for the 2010 season. If you thought Mora has been entertaining for minutes at a time on Seattle radio this offseason, imagine what he might offer during a 3-hour telecast.
Just think of the production meetings and visits to Seattle practices late in the week. There's almost no way Mora or the Seahawks could make such a situation comfortable. Fox and Mora will have a hard time resisting a chance to put Mora on a Seattle game, even if they wait a few weeks.
Mora isn't the only NFC West alum joining Fox's broadcast team. Kurt Warner will make his debut. And as VanRam of Turf Show Times pointed out, Warner is replacing the man he famously replaced in the Rams' lineup before the 1999 season: Trent Green.
The charts show NFC West broadcast assignments for last season. Crew ranks show how the networks rank their broadcast teams, with top-ranked crews drawing marquee matchups.
