Ken Whisenhunt's attempts to move past the Cardinals' Super Bowl defeat to Pittsburgh are taking another hit. The league has scheduled a Super Bowl rematch between Arizona and Pittsburgh for Week 1 of the exhibition season on ESPN.
The Aug. 13 game at Pittsburgh carries an 8 p.m. ET kickoff time. No other NFC West teams made the cut for nationally televised games during preseason.
The Seahawks are facing each of their former AFC West rivals. The 49ers draw former coach Mike Nolan in their opener against Denver.
Week 1 preseason:
- Arizona at Pittsburgh (ESPN)
- Denver at San Francisco
- St. Louis at New York Jets
- Seattle at San Diego
Week 2 preseason:
- Atlanta at St. Louis
- Denver at Seattle
- Oakland at San Francisco
- San Diego at Arizona
Week 3 preseason:
- Green Bay at Arizona
- St. Louis at Cincinnati
- San Francisco at Dallas
- Seattle at Kansas City
Week 4 preseason:
- Arizona at Denver
- Kansas City at St. Louis
- Oakland at Seattle
- San Francisco at San Diego
