As Holt visits Titans, older receivers hang on

With 49ers receiver Isaac Bruce apparently mulling whether to continue his career, I peered into my roster database for a look at the oldest receivers in the league.
Bruce, 36, ranked second behind 37-year-old Joey Galloway. Four of the five oldest receivers employed by NFL teams spent at least part of their careers with current NFC West teams. Muhsin Muhammad was the exception.
Another older former NFC West receiver, 32-year-old Torry Holt, could be back in the league soon. Like the five players listed in the chart, Holt probably has enough left to help a team in a situational role and perhaps as a full-time starter.
Holt visited the Jaguars recently. He is now visiting the Titans, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. Like Marvin Harrison, 36, Holt's next contract would pay him far less than he has been accustomed to earning.
