The 49ers' addition of tackle Marvel Smith -- at the expense of fellow tackle Jonas Jennings -- might not end the meaningful predraft signing period for NFC West teams this offseason.

Cornerback Ken Lucas remains in play for Seattle.

The chart provides a scorecard for NFC West teams since unrestricted free agency began Feb. 27.

A quick UFA-related note on each NFC West team:

Arizona: The Cardinals lead the NFL in UFA re-signings with seven. Five of the seven are in their 30s.

San Francisco: The 49ers are tied with five teams for second-most UFAs to sign elsewhere. The Jets, Browns, Ravens and Titans have also lost six.

St. Louis: Twelve Rams players from last season remain UFAs
, three more than for any other team in the league.

Seattle: Seven UFAs have left the Seahawks for other teams, most in the league.

Losing UFAs isn't necessarily a bad thing. The Rams have been particularly eager to part with players as they rebuild the roster.
