A few highlights regarding where NFC West teams rank in various statistical categories through Week 16 (pending the postponed game between Minnesota and Philadelphia):

  • The San Francisco 49ers's defense fell four spots to No. 17 in sacks per pass attempt after sacking the St. Louis Rams' Sam Bradford only once in 38 dropbacks.

  • The Arizona Cardinals' defense jumped from 24th to 15th in sacks per pass attempt after collecting five sacks in 28 dropbacks against Dallas.

  • The 49ers' third-down defense rose from 19th to 14th after the Rams converted 29 percent of their chances. The Rams improved from sixth to fourth in this category after holding the 49ers to a 25 percent conversion rate.

  • The Seattle Seahawks' rushing offense fell one spot to No. 32 after a rough outing at Tampa Bay. The Cardinals' rushing offense fell from 3oth to 31st.
