Curry-Harris deal low risk, high reward for Rams

Curry Harris Acquiring Ronald Curry from the Lions for defensive lineman Orien Harris improves the Rams' depth at a weak position, at little cost to St. Louis.

The move doesn't solve the Rams' potential problems at receiver, but Curry has started games in the NFL and that separates him from most of the team's receivers.

Harris wasn't expected to factor into the Rams' plans, at least in my view. The Rams acquired him from Cincinnati in the Brian Leonard trade earlier this offseason.

Thanks to Brian McIntyre of Mac's Football Blog for tweeting news of the trade -- as reported by Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch -- as the deal was coming together.
