Jose writes via Facebook: Any chance we could get an updated list of injuries on the NFC West? Seems like players are dropping like flies.

Mike Sando: Here's my list of 10 injury situations to monitor in the division.

1. Walter Jones, LT, Seahawks. The Seahawks hope he can return for the opener. Their depth at tackle depends on it. So, too, could Matt Hasselbeck's long-term health.

2. Marcus Trufant, CB, Seahawks. His back problems are similar to the ones Hasselbeck experienced last season. That doesn't sound good. Signing Ken Lucas this offseason no longer qualifies as a luxury. Trufant remains sidelined indefinitely.

3. Marc Bulger, QB, Rams. Bulger, who suffered a broken pinkie on his throwing hand, will probably have to play through pain for some time. Taking repeated snaps from center and occasionally banging his throwing hand on helmets will not help the healing process. We'll see how well Bulger plays through it. At least the break was not considered serious.

4. Beanie Wells, RB, Cardinals. His ankle injury wasn't serious, but it raises concerns about Wells' inability to stay healthy. It's also making it nearly impossible for Wells to win the starting job heading into the season. The Cardinals could use his big-play ability in the run game.

5. Adam Carriker, DT, Rams. Recurring ankle problems continue to slow him. It's fair to wonder if Carriker can hold up physically through a season, or even a training camp.

6. Donnie Avery, WR, Rams. Avery should be able to bounce back to full strength early in the season. He's young and the injury did not appear serious. He is missing valuable reps in the meantime as the Rams learn a new offense. The Rams are missing their No. 1 receiver.

7. Brandon Jones, WR, 49ers. He'll miss a couple of months recovering from a shoulder injury. The 49ers are set up to run the ball. They have other options in the receiving game, mitigating Jones' absence for now.

8. Steve Breaston, WR, Cardinals. Coach Ken Whisenhunt suggested Breaston will not miss much time. A sprained PCL can destabilize a knee, though, and the bone bruise Breaston suffered will surely be painful. Let's watch to see if Breaston's fearless approach suffers.

9. Patrick Willis, LB, 49ers. Willis missed a considerable stretch of training camp. Coach Mike Singletary says the ankle injury was minor. Willis has played at a high level despite more serious injuries, so he should be fine. I'm putting him on the top 10 list as a precaution.

10. Jacob Bell, OL, Rams. Bell suffered a concussion in the exhibition opener and hasn't been cleared to return. It's something to monitor as the season progresses. Offensive linemen do get hit in the head.
Do any other injuries belong on the list? Aaron Curry's groin injury isn't expected to sideline him for the Seahawks' second exhibition game. The 49ers, meanwhile, have functioned without injured guard David Baas in the past. Baas continues to recover from a foot injury.
