Sportsradiointerviews.com has a partial transcript and audio link to former Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander's recent interview with 106.7 The Fan in Washington, D.C. No surprise that Alexander's view of himself differs from others' view of himself. As a player, he once suggested he would earn more money after football than he earned while playing the game.
Alexander: "My training from being with the Redskins has went up to a level where I am as strong and as explosive as I've ever been right now. I feel that if I was at the right team and the right situation, I could really help somebody. One thing I've been doing since I was a little kid and that's score touchdowns, so if somebody needs somebody to get in the red zone and do some work, I could probably still do that pretty well."The NFL appears to have moved on. Alexander turns 32 in a few days. Four current NFL halfbacks are 32 or older.
