The Rams overhauled their roster during the early months of Steve Spagnuolo's tenure as head coach. They were not finished.
By trading 2006 first-round cornerback Tye Hill to the Falcons on Tuesday and releasing 2006 second-round tight end Joe Klopfenstein, the Rams wrote off that year's draft class as an abject failure. Fourth-rounder Victor Adeyanju and seventh-rounder Mark Setterstrom are the only remaining viable members from that first Rams class under former coach Scott Linehan. Third-rounder Claude Wroten remains suspended and has probably played his last down with the team. Fellow third-rounder Dominique Byrd is trying to revive his career in Arizona.
