The Seahawks will place receiver Logan Payne on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season. Backup quarterback Seneca Wallace could miss 3-4 weeks with a calf injury.
That was the word from coach Mike Holmgren during his news conference today.
Seattle's list of injured receivers already includes Deion Branch, Bobby Engram, Nate Burleson and Ben Obomanu. Wallace was also scheduled to play receiver, but that won't happen now.
The team could sign a quarterback to the active roster or practice squad, Holmgren said.
"Desperate times call for desperate measures," Holmgren said.
Seattle might have to pursue a trade for a receiver. All options are on the table at this point.
