Among the NFL-induced fines pending against NFC West players for alleged misdeeds in Week 3:
- Patrick Kerney, DE, Seahawks: $5,000 for roughing the passer. The league determined Kerney unnecessarily drove Jay Cutler to the ground.
- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Cardinals: $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting).
- Antrel Rolle, S, Cardinals: $5,000 for a major facemask.
- Justin Smith, DE, 49ers: $5,000 for roughing the passer. The league determined he struck Brett Favre in the knee area.
The fine against Smith might have been justified technically, but I'm not sure what else he could have done on the play, other than to let Favre continue the play.
