The Cardinals are within about 1,000 unsold tickets of averting the first local television blackout since University of Phoenix Stadium opened in 2006.
The NFL granted a 24-hour extension of the usual Thursday deadline, an indication a sellout is within reach. The Houston Texans visit Sunday.
