Running back Ryan Williams, who missed his entire rookie season due to a knee injury, should be ready for training camp -- though his reps will likely be limited.

San Francisco 49ers

Quarterback Alex Smith admitted the 49ers' pursuit of Peyton Manning during the offseason will serve as motivation as he prepares for the 2012 season, reports the Sacramento Bee's Matt Barrows. "Certainly there are a lot of forms of motivation," said Smith. "I guess that's there a little bit as far as motivation."

Kendall Hunter is going to break out this season because he has "it," writes NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks don't need Matt Flynn to be a top 5 quarterback, because they can lean on their solid running game and strong defense, writes Rosenthal. If Flynn is just average, that'll be a big upgrade for the Seahawks, and might be enough to get them to the playoffs.

St. Louis Rams

Count running back Steven Jackson among those happy with the hiring of coach Jeff Fisher in the offseason, according to the Sports Xchange . "It's quite a difference," Jackson said when asked about the confidence of Fisher, compared to past regimes. "Nothing against what I've had before coach Fisher, but you can definitely tell a difference in leadership, a difference in confidence. It's not so much of on-the-job training."

The relationship between the St. Louis Rams and rookie cornerback Janoris Jenkins has reportedly started off on the wrong foot, writes Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, due to a verbal pre-draft agreement that's impermissible under the CBA. Aside from issues over signing bonus money, there an issue over who will financially advise Jenkins.
