The Seahawks' already dire situation at left tackle will get worse before it gets better.
Brandon Frye's placement on injured reserve Tuesday means the Seahawks need to get through their Week 6 game against Arizona while hoping nothing happens to Kyle Williams. The team then expects to welcome back Sean Locklear from an ankle injury for a Week 8 game following a bye.
Seattle's situation at left tackle is starting to look like the situation at wide receiver last season. Starter Walter Jones remains sidelined indefinitely while trying to recover from two knee surgeries. Locklear, the usual starter at right tackle, had been starting in Jones' place before his injury. Frye, claimed off waivers from the Dolphins one week before the season, suffered what the team described as a neck stinger Sunday.
Seattle has not brought in offensive tackles for tryouts this week, to my knowledge. I'll provide an update if that changes.
Update: The team signed Damion McIntosh. New item posted.
