The Seahawks announced they've signed veteran tackle Damion McIntosh after placing Brandon Frye on injured reserve.

McIntosh, 32, has experience. He has started 111 games for the Chiefs, Dolphins and Chargers. Here's the Scouts Inc. report on McIntosh:

McIntosh anchors the right side of the Chiefs' line and gives the team a powerful drive blocker who excels in short-yardage situations. He is more of a finesse blocker who walls opponents off and simply gets in the way. He reacts quickly to stunts and twists. He is a solid technician who understands angles and how to position himself.

This is a stopgap signing. Kyle Williams will presumably start Sunday.

Update: McIntosh played for Seahawks line coach Mike Solari in Kansas City, so his learning curve should be small, particularly within this scheme.
