The facts: The Rams fell to 0-6 with a 23-20 overtime loss to the Jaguars in Week 6.

The upside: Even the worst defeats tend to feature a bright spot or two.
  • Rookie James Laurinaitis picked off a pass -- again.
  • Marc Bulger started quickly, completing all five passes during a nine-play, 73-yard touchdown drive to open the game.
  • Josh Brown made both field-goal tries after a rough start to the season. He hit from 52 yards before making the tying 27-yarder to force overtime.
  • Leonard Little showed the Rams have not quit despite their frustrating start. To the contrary, his performance in fighting through strep throat should inspire teammates.
  • Bulger made it through a full game without aggravating his shoulder injury.
  • Donnie Avery continued to make strides before suffering a hip injury.
  • Steven Jackson ran exceptionally hard again, including as a receiver. And he appeared to hold up physically, a problem at this time last season.
  • Linebacker Paris Lenon seemed more active, finishing with seven tackles -- all in the second half.
  • The Rams finished with eight pass breakups and 12 quarterback hits, including two hits apiece from Laurinaitis and Little. Chris Long had one.
  • Coach Steve Spagnuolo has kept his composure and remained consistent, important during tough times. He appears unflappable.
Looking ahead: The Rams face the Colts at home in Week 7.
