Those interested in hearing Matt Williamson, Ross Tucker and Jay Soderberg predict NFC West games in Week 3 can check out their Football Today podcast:
Matt, Ross and Jay go through all the NFL games. The time stamps are there to help you single out NFC West games quickly if you're in a crunch for time.
- 8:45 mark: St. Louis Rams at Chicago Bears. Tucker, who works on the Rams' preseason telecasts and will work this game for radio, thinks this game will reveal much about both teams. Issues on the Rams' offensive line raise concerns.
- 11:30 mark: Philadelphia Eagles at Arizona Cardinals. Williamson calls these teams' defenses among the top five or six in the NFL. He's expecting a close game, but he thinks the Eagles will win because they're better at quarterback. Of course, New England had the better QB last week as well.
- 29:50 mark: San Francisco 49ers at Minnesota Vikings. Tucker and Williamson think the matchup is too tough for Christian Ponder at this stage of Ponder's career. Soderberg notes that the 49ers have contained Adrian Peterson in the past.
- 41:48 mark: Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks. Tucker thinks the Packers' defense can help Green Bay win a close game. Williamson expects a close game and likes the Seahawks' chances. He mentions K.J. Wright, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor as players able to match up against Jermichael Finley.
