The Rams have already provided a potential silver lining to what everyone expects will be a home defeat to the Colts in Week 7.
Donnie Avery's 50-yard reception to set up an opening-drive field goal stands as a very good sign for St. Louis. The Rams' offense is limited even with Avery contributing, but his big-play ability is critical.
The Rams have yet to get Steven Jackson going against the Colts. A couple of big plays from Avery could help loosen up the defense while giving future opponents something beyond Jackson to worry about.
