Steven Jackson's 49-yard catch-and-limp through the Seattle Seahawks' defense in 2010 came to mind when the St. Louis Rams released their injury report Friday.

The report listed Jackson as questionable with a groin injury heading into the Rams' home game Sunday against Seattle.

Jackson was likewise questionable with a groin injury heading into that 2010 home game against the Seahawks, also in Week 4.

The injury prevented Jackson from opening his stride to its usual extent, but he still gained 49 yards on a short pass from Sam Bradford. That play was the longest from scrimmage for any team. It set up the Rams for a touchdown as they built a 17-3 lead on their way to a 20-3 victory.

Jackson will be facing a tougher Seattle defense this time. The Rams will welcome whatever he can give them. As the chart shows, Jackson wasn't much of a factor against Chicago last week.

The Seahawks are allowing a league-low 2.48 yards per attempt to opposing running backs (the number is 3.1 when runs by players at other positions are included).
