The facts: The St. Louis Rams fell to 3-4 with a 30-20 home defeat to the Green Bay Packers in Week 7.
The upside: Even the worst defeats tend to feature a bright spot or two.
- The offensive line protected quarterback Sam Bradford pretty well under the circumstances. Left tackle Joe Barksdale and left guard Shelley Smith were making their first regular-season NFL starts.
- Chris Givens' 56-yard reception gave him one reception of at least 50 yards in four consecutive games, the first time a rookie has done that since 1983 (Willie Gault).
- Second-year defensive end Robert Quinn sacked Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Quinn now has seven sacks this season.
- Rookie first-round defensive tackle Michael Brockers collected his first NFL sack.
- Running back Steven Jackson converted a third-and-1 before scoring on a 6-yard run. He had 12 carries for 57 yards.
- Austin Pettis' 3-yard scoring reception was his first career touchdown.
- The Rams had 93 yards rushing in the first half. They have held their last three opponents to a combined 151 yards rushing.
- Rookie kicker Greg Zuerlein rebounded from a rough game at Miami. He made both field-goal tries, connecting from 43 and 50 yards.
- The Rams scored touchdowns on two of three possessions in the red zone.
