Coach Jeff Fisher doesn't say much about the St. Louis Rams' injuries.
He did pass along encouraging news during a conference call with reporters Wednesday.
The projected six-week timetable for Amendola's return hasn't necessarily changed. This is an initial step to returning. But the fact that Amendola was on the practice field in any capacity less than three weeks following the injury has to be positive for the team.
Amendola suffered a ternoclavicular joint separation (where the collarbone meets the sternum), according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That injury is similar to those drivers can suffer during car crashes when hurtling into the steering wheel.
Amendola suffered the injury while making a diving attempt to catch a pass. He still leads the team in targets this season even after missing two games. The chart, from ESPN Stats & Information, shows Rams players with at least 10 targets this season.
