The facts: The St. Louis Rams fell to 3-5 with a 45-7 defeat to the New England Patriots at London's Wembley Stadium in Week 9.
The upside: Even the worst defeats tend to feature a bright spot or two.

- Fourth-round draft choice Chris Givens' 50-yard touchdown reception set an NFL rookie record for consecutive games with at least one catch covering 50-plus yards. This was his fifth consecutive game with such a reception. Willie Gault (1983) held the previous record.
- Quarterback Sam Bradford completed 23 of 31 passes with one touchdown and an 88.9 NFL passer rating. Bradford posted a 65.7 Total QBR score (50 is average), his third-highest of the season (77.3 vs. Washington, 68.8 vs. Miami).
- Running back Daryl Richardson averaged 7.6 yards per carry on his seven rushes. Fellow rookie Isaiah Pead had a 19-yard run.
- Punter Johnny Hekker had a 44.8-yard net average.
