Silver linings: Cardinals vs. 49ers

The facts: The Arizona Cardinals fell to 4-4 with a 24-3 home defeat to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8.

The upside: Even the worst defeats tend to feature a bright spot or two.
    • Inside linebacker Daryl Washington collected two sacks, giving him eight for the season.
    • Tight end Jeff King gained 27 yards on a catch-and-run in the third quarter.
    • LaRod Stephens-Howling gained 24 yards on a catch-and-run in the first quarter.
    • Early Doucet had a 16-yard reception on third-and-10.
    • Rookie Michael Floyd made a one-handed catch in the fourth quarter.
    • Arizona held the ball for more than 18 minutes of the second half.
    • Calais Campbell and Darnell Dockett each had one sack.
    • The Cardinals suffered no turnovers of consequence. Their lone interception came on a Hail Mary pass to end the first half.
Looking ahead: The Cardinals visit Green Bay in Week 9.
