GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Cardinals are looking like a team that spent the last week reading about their top-ranked defense.
The team that allowed three rushing touchdowns in its first six games has allowed two in the first 16 minutes Sunday. Carolina's Jonathan Stewart has touchdown runs covering 6 and 10 yards. DeAngelo Williams has a 77-yard run.
The Cardinals allowed 166 yards rushing in their previous three games. They have allowed 126 in barely more than one quarter against Carolina.
Missed tackles do not seem to be the primary problem here. Missed assignments might be the culprit. Coach Ken Whisenhunt will not enjoy hearing the dreaded "U" word -- undisciplined -- but highly disciplined play on defense generally would not yield these results.
