Rams kicker Josh Brown is the NFC's special-teams player of the week after throwing a touchdown pass and kicking a field goal during the team's first victory of the season Sunday.
The NFC West also played a role in producing the NFC's defensive player of the week.
Carolina's Julius Peppers made a spectacular recovery to snatch a screen pass and return it for a touchdown against the Cardinals. Peppers also had a sack and forced fumble.
Peppers is now the first player in Panthers history to win the NFC's weekly defensive honor three times during his career.
