WASHINGTON -- The flight from Seattle to Washington, D.C. covered about 2,300 air miles.
The distance and travel across time zones led the Seahawks to leave Friday instead of Saturday for their wild-card playoff game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday. That game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET, later than usual for East Coast games. The Seahawks would much prefer the later start given the three-hour time difference, even if the early departure allowed their bodies to adjust.
My plane has landed at Reagan National. I'll be heading over to FedEx Field early Sunday. Let me know via Twitter if you're going to be hanging out there. Perhaps we'll cross paths. Enjoy your Saturday night.
