FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt and quarterback Matt Leinart are expected to be available shortly here at the team's training camp at Northern Arizona University.

Adeyanju

An update from Rams camp in the meantime: Having already lost backup defensive tackle Claude Wroten to a season-long suspension, the Rams have now lost backup defensive end Victor Adeyanju, though not for nearly as long. Adeyanju will undergo surgery for a broken middle finger. The Rams sent him back to St. Louis. Adeyanju could miss two-to-four weeks. He'll wear a club on the hand when he returns.

"This is where you start getting banged up a little bit," Rams coach Scott Linehan told reporters at training camp near Milwaukee. "We have to make some adjustments."

The Rams had a roster spot open after placing holdout running back Steven Jackson on the reserve/did not report list, but they filled it with cornerback Cortney Grixby. A roster spot could come open depending on what happens with injured defensive tackle Josh Thompson. Linehan alluded to having a free agent in for a physical, presumably a defensive lineman.

The Rams need to keep up their defensive line numbers to save La'Roi Glover's legs. The Rams have even less depth at linebacker. Starter Chris Draft left practice with cramps in his legs Monday, but that sounds pretty typical for camp.
