Fitzgerald, Breaston up to challenge

10/13/2008

The Cardinals' Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Breaston had more catches, yards and toucdowns than the Cowboys' Terrell Owens, Patrick Crayton and Jason Witten.

The chart, provided by ESPN research, breaks down how many times the teams targeted each player, and the production that resulted.

Breaston's production appears every bit what the team might have expected from Anquan Boldin, a bit of a surprise. Breaston has helped the Cardinals win without Boldin, who is arguably their best receiver. Arizona does miss Boldin in the running game. He's a terrific blocker.

Breaston has 24 catches for 301 yards in his last three games. He had eight catches for 92 yards in his previous 19 games.
