Steven Jackson's status for the Rams stands out as a primary NFC West storyline heading into games Sunday.
The Rams signed seventh-round rookie running back Chris Ogbonnaya from their practice squad Saturday. That gave them another option at running back if Jackson's bad back prevents him from playing against the Seahawks. The Rams released tight end Eric Butler to make room for Ogbonnaya on the 53-man roster.
Jackson did not practice all week. For much of the week, the Rams sounded as though they thought he would play, but there was more uncertainty as the week closed.
