This was a horrible game between two bad teams, severely discounting any analysis suggesting progress on any front for either team.

The Seahawks' struggling ground game prevailed against a Rams run defense that had coach Steve Spagnuolo muttering to himself early in the week ("It kills me," he said three times in succession Monday). Justin Forsett ran hard and ran effectively for Seattle. It did not mean much.
The Seahawks' struggling pass rush prevailed against the Rams' severely injury-depleted offensive line. Again, it did not mean much.
Right tackle Jason Smith and right guard Richie Incognito missed the game. The Rams lost center Jason Brown, their anchor up front, to a sprained knee early in the game. Running back Steven Jackson played despite a sore back that prevented him from practicing all week.
I think the Rams have reached their breaking point on the injury front. They can no longer compete against good teams or even some below-average ones. There was almost nothing for them to like about this performance. The Rams must get Jackson healthy and restore some talent to their offensive line.
Seattle avoided what would have been a humiliating defeat. Their defense overwhelmed the Rams' undermanned offense. The Seahawks' passing game struggled more than anticipated, but the Seahawks will take the victory. They're 4-7 and heading home to face the 49ers after three in a row on the road.
