Kiper mock 1.0 reaction: Seahawks
By Terry Blount
RENTON, Wash. -- Most Seattle Seahawks fans probably expect the team to select an offensive lineman in the first round, but ESPN’s Mel Kiper has Seattle taking Penn State wide receiver Allen Robinson.
Even if Percy Harvin is 100 percent healthy next season, it makes sense to add a big receiver, something the Seahawks don’t have.
Sidney Rice, who has been out since midseason with a torn ACL, is the only tall receiver for the Seahawks, but Rice is a free agent and unlikely to be re-signed. Robinson is 6-foot-3, 210 pounds with good speed.
The Seahawks also have decisions to make with receivers Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin. Tate is an unrestricted free agent and Baldwin is a restricted free agent.
One offensive lineman the Seahawks are believed to have an interest in is Tennessee tackle Antonio Richardson (6-6, 330), but Kiper has Richardson going to the Saints earlier in the first round.
