To review: Week 17 game was meaningless
By Mike Sando
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Did anyone see anybody picking the Cardinals to do what the Cardinals are doing to this point?
The Packers looked so good against Arizona in Week 17 that it fueled perceptions about how the teams might match up in the playoffs. I think that is the only way to explain why Green Bay was such a popular choice.
I wasn't sure who would win the game and it's still possible for the Packers to rally, but it was important to remove that Week 17 result from our minds in formulating analysis.
The Packers' playoff inexperience seems to be showing. They might have been ready to come out and win a game like this at home. But to suffer turnovers right away, including one on a poor decision by Aaron Rodgers, seemed telling.
