NFC West leads way in free agency
By Mike Sando
The NFC West produced some of the finest punting in the NFL last season.
The division is promising to show more leadership if, as expected, the league enters the free-agent signing period March 5 without a new labor agreement.
Specifically, the NFC West has a league-leading 40 players projected to become unrestricted free agents, based on information the NFL provided through its new labor site, nfllabor.com.
This will come as a shock to NFC West blog regulars, but when the league made available a list of all projected UFAs, complete with all sorts of helpful information, I immediately funneled it into an Excel spreadsheet for some quick analysis.
The fun is only beginning. Additional posts to come.
