Revisited: When to start Sam Bradford?
By Mike Sando
The timetable for naming Sam Bradford the Rams' starting quarterback will remain a point of discussion all offseason.
Berry Tramel's case for starting Bradford right away got me thinking.
The Rams will, of course, monitor Bradford to get a feel for how ready he would be to start right away. Perhaps he will be ready by September. He could conceivably be the Rams' best option even if he's not ready. Then what?
There's no need to make a decision this far out. The Rams could see how A.J. Feeley fares, then turn to Bradford.
Once the team starts Bradford, it's tough to yank him from the lineup without damaging his standing. I'd be inclined to go with Feeley to begin the season, then turn to Bradford when the timing is better.
