No surprises as Seahawks trim to 75
By Mike Sando
The Seattle Seahawks reduced their roster to 76 players by releasing pass-rusher Ricky Foley, guard Gregg Peat, receiver Kole Heckendorf and kicker Clint Stitser.
That means Seattle must clear one roster spot by the 75-man roster deadline Tuesday.
None of the moves counts as a surprise -- and that itself was no surprise, given that most of the tough decisions aren't made until the reduction to 53 players (Saturday).
Seattle also placed defensive lineman Jonathan Lewis on injured reserve.
