You called it: Fearless predictions (Week 8)
By Mike Sando
Two funky final scores and Carolina's first victory of the season stumped the field in the "You called it" competition for Week 7.
stevem74 had Tampa Bay beating St. Louis by an unusual 22-10 margin, but that was the final score for Seattle's victory over Arizona when the Seahawks improbably kicked five field goals. The San Francisco 49ers took a 20-13 lead on Ray McDonald's interception return for a touchdown, making lrmj69 appear prescient, but the Panthers scored 10 points in the final 1:53 to prevail, 23-10.
NFC West teams play four games this week. Let's pick up the pace and add a few more names to the Wall of Fame. Simply pick winners and final scores for the following Week 8 games involving NFC West teams:
The game-by-game predictions I made separately for each team in the division called for all four NFC West teams to win in Week 8. I had the Cardinals at 3-3 and the Rams at 3-4 to this point, but those predictions also had the 49ers at 4-3 and the Seahawks at, wait, I seem to have misplaced my notes.
- San Francisco 49ers vs. Denver Broncos.
- Arizona Cardinals vs. Tampa Bay Bucs.
- St. Louis Rams vs. Carolina Panthers.
- Seattle Seahawks at Oakland Raiders.
