'Fitz' overcame broken thumb, torn ligaments

Thanks to alvaden for pointing out in the comments section of Stephania Bell's analysis this passage from Jim Corbett's Cardinals story in USA Today:

What made [Larry] Fitzgerald's record-setting, 30-catch, 546-yard, seven-touchdown postseason even more remarkable was the fact that he did it while playing with a broken left thumb and torn ligaments in two other fingers. 

We knew Fitzgerald was injured, but I didn't know the extent. Ouch.
