Classic stuff from new Seahawks snapper Jeff Robinson today. Robinson, 38, takes over for injured rookie Tyler Schmitt.
Coach Mike Holmgren on Robinson: "What a gig he's got. He missed all of training camp. He reminded me he's practiced as much as Chris Spencer. He's a very funny guy. It's good to have him back. He's a good snapper."
Great line from Robinson. Spencer, the Seahawks' would-be starting center, makes his 2008 preseason debut Friday night when the Raiders visit Qwest Field.
Holmgren was in top form with reporters today. Asked why Craig Terrill missed practice, Holmgren referenced the defensive tackle's rock-and-roll pedigree:
"I'm not sure what he did. [Matt] Hasselbeck said he tried to pick up an amp, so I told him I've never been more disappointed in a player in my whole life."
Holmgren must have been in a good mood after finding out Lofa Tatupu's knee injury wasn't serious. For the record, Terrill was apparently suffering from general soreness.
