Audio: Talking all things NFC West
By Mike Sando
Some of our NFC West material came to life during a Thursday afternoon conversation with Bob Stelton, Dave Grosby and Dave Wyman on 710ESPN Seattle.
One example was just how much the San Francisco 49ers have invested in their offensive line:
San Francisco and Indianapolis have used the most first- and second-round picks for offensive linemen over the last five drafts, each with four. But the 49ers used three first-rounders on the position during that time, while the Colts used three second-rounders. The 49ers are the only team in the league to use more than two first-round picks on offensive linemen in the last five drafts. Tennessee and San Diego have used no first- or second-round picks on offensive linemen over the last five drafts. They are the only teams to have used none.
We covered all four NFC West teams in this conversation, touching on Golden Tate, Kevin Kolb, Sam Bradford and the 49ers' line.
