Rams already have four dropped passes
By Mike Sando
Thirty-four NFL players dropped passes in Week 1.
Four of them play for the St. Louis Rams.
Running back Cadillac Williams, tight end Lance Kendricks and receivers Greg Salas and Brandon Gibson combined to give the Rams more drops than all but one team, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
The Rams had 31 drops last season, tied for sixth-most in the league.
The chart ranks teams by most drops. The teams with three or more are at the top. San Francisco (1), Arizona (0) and Seattle (0) are listed below. Frank Gore accounted for the 49ers' lone drop on a short pass that should have been a routine catch even though the ball appeared a little to the side.
Arizona ranked third last season with 37 drops. The Seahawks were tied for eighth with 30. The 49ers were tied for 18th with 25.
Detroit had the most (41). Baltimore had the fewest (15).
